This office assigns a monetary value to houses for payment of taxes on their real estate. Moreover, they determine the exact measurements of each Granada house. Hence, they are used to solve problems of land delimitation because they issue the official document with the legal measurements.

In this office, people who live in Granada pay their taxes to the City Hall and it is in charge of urban planning and control. Based on the Catastro estimation, the Property Taxes are calculated and must be paid in this department. Moreover, businesses pay their taxes on sales here. They supervise any construction in the historical center and if they discover an irregularity, they issue the fines.
